Future of the Balboa Performing Arts Theater

What can patrons expect to see and experience at the new Balboa Performing Arts Theater? Simply the best in dance, music, theater and film presentations currently available on the local, regional and national level, supported by a community-engaging Education Center.








The theater is being remodeled into a 300-seat multi-use venue boasting the latest in sound and lighting design, while keeping the style and look of the original theater.














Audiences will enjoy flexible seating, which offers optimum, unobstructed viewing pleasure and physical comfort. No seat will be further than 60 feet from the stage, creating an intimate ambiance in which every seat is the best seat in the house. The seating may be configured as traditional theater seating, or may be fully retracted, exposing the theater floor, allowing for cabaret and other novel seating configurations.





    


A new roof-top entertainment deck will offer spectacular views of Newport Harbor and surrounding areas. The deck will be available for special events as well as pre- and post-performance gatherings.















The theater's size will be attractive to specialized local and touring dance troupes. The Balboa Performing Arts Theater will be an ideal place to experience jazz, classical and pop music. Solo artists and small theater productions will feel right at home.
